Our range of technologies effectively allows your product designers and engineers the capability to design innovative information security appliances, systems, and applications that you never thought possible today. This is tomorrow’s capability, and D'Crypt brings it to you today.

Cryptographic Cores

The D'Cryptor ZE is a micro-token targeted at high security embedded applications. Central to D'Crypt’s new generation of products targeted for deployment in harsh environmental conditions, the ZE serves as a secure coprocessor providing cryptographic/key management services, secure key storage and supporting interfaces like UARTs, SSP, infrared, contact/contactless Smartcard and GPIOs.

The D'Cryptor QE is a high-performance cryptographic module designed for high security assurance applications. QE is D'Crypt’s first generation cryptographic core certified to FIPS 140-2 Level 3 (Certificate No. 465).

Built around a 32-bit processor with up to 8MB of Flash ROM and up to 1 MB of SRAM, the QE core accepts an externally injectable application. QE provides the cryptographic support through a library and an application programmer’s interface (API). All keys and cryptographic processing are isolated within this library and accessible only through the API. QE’s secure micro-O/S, also developed by D'Crypt, ensures that the library can only be accessed through its API – the protection is achieved by disjoint partitioning of memory spaces and ensures that the untrusted application program is prevented from accessing other memory partitions to pick out key material or other cryptographic security parameters.

Our full-system secure D'Cryptor PE customizable cryptographic token integrates a high performance processor, large memories, a V.90 modem, two high-speed serial ports, a real-time clock, a cryptographic-quality hardware noise source, and a battery of active tamper sense and response technologies in a Type II PC-Card form-factor. Integrating both the security and the communications capability in a single easy-to-use package, D'Cryptor PEtokens fit in situations where there are large numbers of remote clients interoperating in a secure application scenario. D'Cryptor PE deployment scenarios include secure data up/down-links, off-line transaction systems, secure dial-up applications over PSTN or ISDN lines, remote VPN access, and link encryption.

For ultimate flexibility, D'Cryptor PE comes with a software development environment. Applications developed by customers run on a D'Crypt-developed secure micro-O/S that is real-time ready and is able to partition mutually non-trusting code modules.

For further ease of application development, D'Crypt makes available the D'Cryptor DE to our first-tier customers. This application development environment is functionally identical at the software level to the D'Cryptor PE, but comes without the extensive security features. Instead, D'Cryptor DE builds in accessibility and controllability that is desired in a development environment.

D'Crypt can build an application for a customer using D'Cryptor PE. Alternatively, we will also work with customers to realize definitive solutions.

Silicon Intellectual Property (IP) Core

Our silicon intellectual property (IP) cores implement various widely accepted encryption algorithms, like the Data Encryption Standard (DES and 3DES) and the new Advanced Encryption Standard (AES).

Our AES and DES sustain fibre(wire)-speed encryption and decryption at rates in excess of 2.55Gbit/s. They are also key-agile, and can switch encryption keys without any performance penalty. This allows their use in environments where physical bandwidth is shared among many logical channels, each of which is secured separately.

With their high bandwidth, our IP cores are able to secureRAID arrays and Storage-Area-Networks (SAN).

As a member of Altera’s Megafunction Partner Program (AMPP), D'Crypt offers these IP cores optimized for Altera Programmable Logic Devices. Our cores are designed with ease of integration in mind. Such cores are also best suited for integration into security-enabled network equipment that are required to support a huge amount of computationally intensive encryption and decryption functions, or for embedding into secure storage device controllers, allowing the encryption and/or decryption operations to be transparent to the users. High security at no loss of system performance – that’s the object that you can achieve today, simply by embedding our core into your designs.

SKVM
D'Crypt has a strategic partnership with Sun Microsystems to co-develop the SKVM, a Java Virtual Machine that has a small footprint and that is secure from ground-up. SKVM is targeted at payment transactions using small devices like cellular phones, PDAs, and next-generation smart cards. SKVM is jointly developed and co-owned between D'Crypt and Sun, and a worldwide patent has been filed for this technology.

Patents
On Jun 21, 2005, US Patent 6,909,786 B2 was issued to D’Crypt for the invention “Cryptographic Trap Door with Timed Lock and Controlled Escrow”, a technique that employs cryptography for secure, verifiable key-evolution.

D’Crypt together with Sun has also filed a worldwide patent for SKVM.
